The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report is just a proposal and is open to input from all Kenyans, Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o has said.
Speaking on Wednesday during an interview on KTN, he said the push led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga, should not be seen as a final product of the proposed constitutional changes included in it.
According to the county boss, any other Kenyan who feels that they are capable of providing a better proposal to the committee should do so.
"What the Uhuru-Raila led BBI is presenting is a proposal. If anyone else has another proposal put it on the table," he said on KTN News.
According to the governor, President Kenyatta and Odinga are just trying to offer what they think is the best way to address the nation's constitutional ailments.
He added that the manner in which the BBI is being fronted to Kenyans, is giving them an avenue to also contribute and air their views regarding how they want the country to look.
"I think it is inviting. They are saying that when we look at things that ail us, this is how we look at them, this is what we propose, what do you think we should do?" he added.
Initially, the BBI was facing opposition from politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto, who have, however, since dropped their opposition and joined the BBI bandwagon.
Nyong'o is a strong supporter of the proposed constitutional changes, and has rooted for a return to the parliamentary system of governance.
