In a tweet on Saturday, Ahmednasir said that it is evident that there was nothing wrong with the programme because President Uhuru Kenyatta could be seen happy even as Senator Kipchumba Murkomen lost his cool.

“I heard many JUBILEE luminaries like Senator @kipmurkomen and Majority leader @HonAdenDuale complain about the role of the BOMAS MC @JunetMohamed. Didn't they see that their party leader H.E Uhuru applauded him, agreed with him, clapped for him, almost gave him a standing ovation?" he tweeted.

Murkomen had lamented that the programme was skewed to lock out the allies DP Ruto.

He called for sobriety and tolerance. The remarks did not augur well with some of the leaders at the event. They started shouting at him until he was forced to cut his speech temporarily.

“An opportunity was handed to my friend Junet to MC that function but instead of taking advantage of that opportunity to rise above local politics, he converted a national event into an ODM/Kieleweke function,” claimed Murkomen.

The report has opened a political battlefield between Raila and Ruto’s allies.
