At that time, politics had started shaping across the country, with NASA coalition taking Jubilee administration head-on of corruption.

Raila's trip started in confusions, with ODM wrangles playing also a major role. County leadership under James Gesami and Timothy Bosire had wanted him to land at Nyamira primary.

But Governor John Nyagarama, who was struggling to impress Mr Odinga, diverted his flight to Ekerenyo grounds, forcing major confusion.

However, on Wednesday, Mr Nyamoko, now North Mugirango MP, said that he blocked assembly entrance, declaring out of bounds for ODM team.

"I ordered staff to block the entry using a huge track. They were unable to access it at first. I wasn't happy with the way county leaders were handling issues to do with development," he said.

But after a brief standoff, Mr Odinga and his team accessed the ground and later proceeded to Nyamaiya stadium for another big event.

Nyamoko's version was disputed by activist John Kebaso, who said Governor Nyagarama played a major role in trying to block the entry.

"Unless he's telling us that he used to work with Nyagarama contrary to his stand now. It's the Governor who wanted Raila to address a rally at Nyamaiya. He was at loggerheads with ODM leaders who wanted it to take place at the assembly grounds."

While Nyagarama and Nyamoko went on to be elected as Governor and MP respectively, most of ODM leaders who were at loggerheads with them were not re-elected.
