Despite President Uhuru Kenyatta promising fortunes in the country during his second term, many people have lost jobs as many companies continue closing down.

The goverment promised 500,000 jobs per year but such progress is yet to be made due to prolonged financial downturn in the country.

In a tweet on Monday, Dr Ndii wondered why many people from Mt Kenya region have been reaching him for solutions despite his earlier warning.

"Dear #UthamakistanI said we are over borrowing, you said no pain no gainI said SGR is not value for money, you said I’m anti-developmentI said we prioritize agric productivity, you said stadiums Now you turn around and demand I give solutionsSasa. mnataka . nifanye . nini?" he tweeted.

Ndii, who supported opposition leader Raila Odinga in the last polls, has been accusing Jubilee administration of over borrowing. The economic specialist has often accused President Uhuru of mismanaging the economy.

Currently, the goverment's external debt has hit Sh6 trillion. Parliament recently passed a legislation to increase debt ceiling to Sh9 trillion.

Mt Kenya region has remained unsettled with President Uhuru Kenyatta set to exit the stage in 2022. Local leaders dismissed plans to introduce Parliamentary system of government.

“When we talk about inclusivity, it must be reflected even in representation in Parliament and other spheres. We must have correct number of seats in Parliament that represent our population,” the leaders said in a statement read by Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria recently said that the region has remained marginalized despite the fact that they voted for President Uhuru Kenyatta twice.
