President Uhuru Kenyatta will visit Jamaica next week following an invitation from Jamaican Prime Minister The Most Honourable Andrew Holnes.

The State House revealed that the two leaders with their respective delegations are expected to hold bilateral talks in Kingston. 

This will be the nest time the two leaders are meeting after meeting last year in June at the G7 Summit in Quebec, Canada.

During their previous meeting, they discussed a number of issues of importance to Kenya and Jamaica. 

Some of the issues they talked about include; trade of tea, coffee, peanuts and also exchange of athletics coaches. 

Uhuru and Holnes also had a discussion the need for Kenya Airways to connect to Kingston from New York. 

Kenya Airways have direct flights to New York. This will improve trade and relations between the two countries.

President Uhuru Kenyatta who is in his second and last term in office is working tirelessly to make sure he leaves a legacy come 2022. 

He has on various occasion assured the country that he must leave it a good place. 

He wants also to make sure the country is in a good relationship with other top countries in terms of trade, agriculture and other sectors.
