ODM Party Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna said that the two leaders went against the coalition guidelines to field candidates in the Kibra by election following the demise of Okoth Kenneth.

Sifuna argued that ODM deserved the support of the other two politicians to be guaranteed a win during the exercise.

He also said that it is a waste of time for Mudavadi and Wetangula to root for candidates of their parties in the region.

Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi said that the decision of ANC leader to field Mr Odinga’s former aide, Mr Eliud Owalo, is not only suspicious but also ill-intended.

He noted that the party could have stayed away from the by election as a sign of unity.

Sifuna, who spoke during the burial of Nyando MP Jared Okello’s brother in Kisumu County on Friday, said that it is evident that there is love lost among Raila, Mudavadi and Wetangula as far as the Kibra by election is concerned.

He also said that the failure of the two leaders to turn up for the swearing in ceremony of the opposition leaders showed clearly that they are traitors, adding that they have proven the same one more time.

“The Kibra by-election will be the last straw that broke the camel’s back. We will not allow people who pretend to be working with us to test our unity,” he said, as quoted by Nation.
