Wanyama has asked his supporters to ignore rumours linking him to London rivals West Ham, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.  Reports doing rounds indicate that Wanyama could leave the club at a fee Sh2.5 billion.

The defender has, however, insisted that he is at Tottenham to say amid recent transfers at the club. He said that he has a running contract with the team and has no plans to leave any soon.

“I don’t want to dwell on speculation. I’m not going anywhere. I have not spoken to any other team because my aim is to remain here and help my team next season,” he said, as quoted by Daily Nation.

Wanyama, who recently obtained British citizenship after living in the country for more than six years, has been a subject of discussion in the recent transfer window.

The arrival of Tanguy Ndombele fueled the speculations as the team restructures ahead of the 2019/2022 season.

He played a central role in the team’s qualifications for the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool.

He, however, did not play when the London club took on Jurgen Klopp’s side. He also helped the national team fair on well during the just ended AFCON competition in Egypt.
