Both Ruto and Matiang'i have pitched tent in Nyamira County, with the latter visiting twice in June and the former having an equal number of trips.

At Riamoni on Sunday, speaker Moffat Teya asked Joash Nyamoko (North Mugirango), Shadrack Mose (Kitutu Masaba) and Vincent Kemosi of West Mugirango to support Matiang'i.

Mr Teya, a close ally of Matiang'i, said the three are important in the shaping unity move across the county with an aim of backing Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i.

"Those other three who are yet to join us, it's not too late. You should consider joining us to support one of our own. We kindly urge you to come," he said.

Similar sentiments were shared by Governor John Nyagarama who said the guest to push for Matiang'i presidency was unstoppable. He said the CS had demonstrated good leadership.

"It is good to have all of us on board. This is the way we should move forward. Our other three brothers shall join very soon. It's going to happen," he said.

Of the six MPs, Okong'o Mogeni, Ben Momanyi and Jerusha Momanyi have joined Dr Matiang'i's camp. They urged their other three colleagues to join them.
