DJ Evolve’s father, John Orinda has expressed his gratitude to Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino for taking care of his son’s treatment following the shooting incident at the B-club.
In an interview with K24, Orinda revealed that Babu Owino, whose real name is Paul Ongili, has spent Sh800,000 to cater for his son’s treatment after he was admitted at Nairobi Hospital.
“I thank Babu Owino for taking my son to Nairobi Hospital. I think he would have died had he taken him to a medical facility that has limited equipment. So far, the MP has paid Ksh800, 000 for Felix’s treatment,” said Orinda.
He also expressed optimism that his son’s condition will be better after he underwent successful surgery. He said that the son has been experiencing breathing problems since he was allegedly shot by the lawmaker.
Orinda said that medical reports indicated that his spinal cord was severely affected after the incident.
The remarks of the DJ's father have already elicited mixed reactions from different factions. The prosecution had objected the release of the lawmaker on bail citing possibilities of the lawmaker interfering with the witness.
Babu Owino was later granted a Sh10 million cash bail on Monday. He walked out of Prison after paying Sh2.5 million as part of the down payment of the bail.
