The defiant Knut boss has affirmed that he has no plans to quit amid endless attacks from rivals.  Sossion has faulted external forces for orchestrating his woes at the Union and maintained that he will not bow to any form of pressure as long as he remains in office.

He said that his bad rapport with  Deputy Secretary-General Hesbon Otieno and a handful of members of the executive council will not stop him from executing his duties at the Union.

He also pointed an accusing finger at the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) following his deregistration from the teachers' register. He rooted for the creation of an independent commission, saying outsiders have invaded the affairs of the commission.

“Knut is [neither] at war with anyone nor with itself. We all interact well. It is the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) which is the biggest stumbling block here. It is not Sossion. I think we made a big mistake as a country to create an independent and constitutional commission without the representation of the key stakeholders, who are teachers, to run it,” Mr Sossion said, as quoted by Daily Nation.

Sossion has since extended an olive branch to his rivals as he seeks to regain the lost glory of the union after months of endless wrangles because of the leadership. He also said that he has plans to reach out to the ministry to ensure union members’ grievances are addressed to the latter.
