Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has urged Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri to resign and join politics.
The MP on Tuesday said that the CS should just pack reign and join him in politics.
"What CS Kiunjuri needs to do is resign. Akuje tufanye siasa sasa (Let him join me in politics)," read his Facebook post.
Ngunjiri's call comes after an event which CS Kiunjuri was presiding over in Nyeri on Saturday turned chaotic as 2022 succession took the centre stage.
Kiunjuri while addressing the residents during the launch of Riamukurwe water project at Gatitu, had earlier warned the residents from the 'TangaTanga' and 'Kieleweke' to avoid humiliating any leader as the meeting was not political.
“If anyone has been sent to this meeting to humiliate a leader, let them know we will be watching. If you are in Tangatanga or Kieleweke and want to engage in politics, go to the stadium," he said.
The meeting was brought to a standstill for about 30 minutes.
Wambugu later joined the gathering accompanied by bodaboda riders chanting Kieleweke slogans.
