Murang’a Women representative Sabina Chege has reiterated her stand in the fight against graft.
In a video shared by Nation on Tuesday, Chege said that she was perturbed by leaders defending the corrupt.
She asked the leaders in the Jubilee party to support President Kenyatta in the quest against the vice or else they leave the party. She lamented that millions cannot be accounted for the government yet there were people in charge of those offices.
“I would like to say that my colleagues in Jubilee who have started to fight agencies tasked with the fight against corruption we will either kick them out or we will leave the party for them because we cannot have the President fighting corrupt individuals that have looted public funds to the point that they are not reaching some of you we see some politicians supporting the thieves.
(Na mimi ningependa kusema kwamba wenzangu ambao wako kwenye Jubilee ambao wameanza kupigana na wale watu ambao wanafight corruption either tutawango’a Jubilee ama tuwaachie. Kwa sababu hatuwezi sema sa zile rais anang’ang’ana na wakora ambao wameiba pesa yenu nyinyi wengine haiwafikii inaingia kwa mifuko ya watu kidogo halafu mnaona sisi wanasiasa ambao tunafaa tuwatetea sisi ndio tumeanza kusupport wezi)” she said in part.
President Kenyatta has maintained that everyone accused of graft including his allies should face the music.
