Governor Martin Wambora has made changes in the county government of Embu. According to the governor, in a press release, the objective of the changes is to improve efficiency in service delivery.
“My administration is intent on improving on service delivery. My resolve to serve the people and leave a legacy that is unstoppable,” Governor Wambora stated as quoted by The Standard Media.
Chief Officer for Public Service, Jane Mugambi was reshuffled to the department of Gender, Children, Culture and Social Services whereas Damiano Muthee was moved to Early Childhood Development.
Mary Mercy Munene was moved to Infrastructure and Public Works from the Department of Planning and Economic affairs. The department of Land, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development will now be headed by Michael Ngoroi.
John Mukundi will depart from Agriculture and Cooperative Development to Public Service.
Ruth Ndirangu, Albert Gatuta, Newton Mbora and Easter Mbogo will move to the following department respectively; Finance and Planning, Water and Irrigation, Fisheries and County Public Service Board.
Jemima Nyaga will head over to Youth Empowerment as she leaves Culture and Social Services for Lilian Njagi who left the Public Service department.
Some of the officials including Muturi Wa Ireri and Fredrick Ndaire who head Administration and Devolution and Energy and Transport respectively will remain in their departments.
