Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin has shown interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur and Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama in January.
According to the United Kingdom-based news site, the Sun, Hertha Berlin has now joined the Scotland club Celtic and Belgium based Club Brugge in the race to sign Victor Wanyama.
The 28-year-old midfielder has only played for 9 minutes under his new tactician Jose Mourinho after coming from the bench against Bayern Munich.
Mourinho who has been at the club for just a month has assisted it to perform tremendously in the past few matches.
Wanyama who is currently earning £65,000 per week at Tottenham Hotspur is widely expected to join the Bundesliga club.
The Kenyan skipper who was signed by former Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino has been prone to series of injuries which have derailed his performance both at the club and international level.
Former Tottenham player Jugern Klinsmann who was appointed last month as Hertha Berlin coach wants Wanyama to add some flavour to his club.
Hertha Berlin is trailing in the relegation zone placed at 13th with 15 points in the 18-team league standing.
