Former Mt Elgon Member of Parliament John Serut has poked holes into Deputy President William Ruto's hustler claim.
Speaking on Saturday in an event that saw Baringo senator Gideon Moi made an elder, John Serut appeared to suggest that the hustler tag was inconsistent with the massive wealth that the DP allegedly has.
"If you are indeed a hustler, what is the source of your wealth? (Wewe kama wewe ni hustler, hii mali yote umetoa wapi?)" the former legislator fired.
Mr Serut rubbished what he called the dynasty propaganda that has been used to tarnish the name of some leaders.
He said that the Kenya African National Union (KANU) party leader Gideon Moi was looking for support for his presidential bid as an individual and not because he is the son of former president Daniel MOi.
A section of DP Ruto-backing politicians from the Rift Valley region have used Gideon Moi's background to make the case against him.
Serut threw his weight behind the KANU supremo saying that he has leadership credentials to become the president.
Gideon Moi has expressed his interest in gunning for the top seat that Deputy President Dr William Ruto is also eyeing in 2022.
Political pundits opine that a Gideon Moi presidency would divide the Rift Valley votes and dent DP Ruto's prospects.
