In a hit dubbed "Wajinga Nyinyi", King Kaka spoke about vices ailing the country and went on to mention specific cases among them Waiguru's NYS scandal link.

And in a rejoinder, the first-term governor threatened to sue King Kaka, writing a demand letter that was to be responded to in seven days.

But on Friday, Waiguru seemed to have gone slow on King Kaka, terming him a confused young man seeking attention.

"Having watched the antics of kingkaka in the last couple of days with reports of fake assassination attempts and DCI summons, I recognize that he’s a confused attention seeking young man," she said in a Facebook post.

"I have therefore made the decision not to proceed with the Kingkaka suit. It is unfortunate when talented youth are taken advantage of by some politicians and used to settle political scores. As I have chosen in previous occasions of this nature, I will contend with their masters," added the county boss.

A number of lawyers led by Ahmednasir Abdullahi and Martha Karua had vowed to represent Mr Ombima in court had Waiguru chosen to go ahead.

On Friday, King Kaka through lawyer Nelson Havi, refused to write an apology letter to Waiguru, arguing that he was ready for a court battle.
