At Kakamega, Echesa said just like Uhuru helped Raila Odinga to get AU job and Kalonzo Musyoka, the Head of State should consider getting assignment for the former Vice President.

Echesa said that Luhya community has suffered for long for supporting Raila, adding that should Mudavadi get a job, the infrastructure development of Western Kenya will improve.

"Kisumu and Kakamega are worlds apart in terms of development. Raila has not brought any change for us here. In Kisumu there is an airport, investors flock there.”

"We have supported him all these years to the extent of rejecting our own (Mudavadi),” he added.

Mudavadi has intensified campaigns to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, a move that has seen him often criticise the government.

In a past event, Mudavadi said that he was comfortable to continue leading the role of opposition in the country, adding that he's not interested in any job.

Mr Echesa was sacked in February this year and President Uhuru Kenyatta is yet to give reasons behind his premature exit from government.
