This is after a section of women Members of Parliament allied to Deputy President William Ruto on Friday demanded his resignation.

The over 40 female lawmakers claimed that Tuju has proven that he is not ready to support President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in achieving the Big Four Agenda.

The leaders, who spoke at Kaaga Methodist Church in Imenti North during a fundraiser, claimed that Tuju is behind the cracks in the ruling party. They argued that the President should ensure that Tuju leaves the office with immediate effect so as to stop rocking the party.

The lawmakers under the "Inua Mama, Jenga Taifa" umbrella also urged local residents to stand with DP Ruto as he seeks to rise to power after Uhuru completes his second and final term in government.

Isiolo County Woman Rep Rehema Jaldesa faulted Tuju over what she termed as mismanagement of the affairs of the political party. She reminded Tuju to step aside to pave way for smooth running of the affairs of the party.

“Tuju has been overpowered and he is not fit. We are telling him that Jubilee belongs to us, we are the shareholders and we are giving him notice to leave,” said Jaldesa, as quoted by Standard.

On her part, Tharaka Nithi Woman Rep Beatrice Nkatha said that it is unfortunate for Jubilee to pay an official who has shown clearly that he is working for the opposition.
