A security guard was on Friday presented in a Kibera court where he was accused of luring a boy with food before sodomizing him.
The accused reportedly took the boy to a hotel where he bought him tea and chapati before proceeding to commit the indecent act in a hotel toilet on September 5, 2015.
The suspect, Shadrack Mutinda, nonetheless, denied the charges against him when he appeared before senior resident magistrate Barbara Ojoo.
“I had been sent by my mother to buy flour when I came across him. He volunteered to buy me tea and chapati and then took me to a place where other boys were on the floor watching cartoons,” the boy narrated to the court.
The boy claimed he lost consciousness soon after eating the food and woke up later to find himself locked in a toilet and bleeding from the anus. He further identified the man who opened the door as the accused.
The parents of the boy reported the case to Kiserian police station. They were directed to take the boy for treatment.
“I went to (a Nairobi) hospital with my father and I was treated for some days and discharged. Yes the person who did bad manners to me is here in court,” the boy added.
The accused on the other hand defended himself citing that he only opened the door for the boy after he discovered he had been locked up in the toilet.
The hearing of the case will continue on October 29.
