Nairobi-based lawyer Boniface Mwangi has confirmed that the missing Kenyan trader who was abducted in Dar es Salaam Tanzania, has been found.
In a tweet on Tuesday evening, the former Starehe member of parliament aspirant confirmed that Raphael Ongangi was dumped in Mombasa on Tuesday morning.
"Raphael Ongangi is FREE. He was abducted in Dar es Salaam last week and dumped in Mombasa this morning by Tanzanian intelligence officers. Thank you all for putting pressure, he made out alive because of you. @MagufuliJP @tanpol stop the abductions. #BringBackRaphaelOngangi," he said.
Speaking to Citizen, Ongangi's wife pleaded with Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli to help save her husband that was abducted in her presence.
Sources reveal that Mr Raphael Ongangi was working closely with President John Pombe Magufuli's outspoken critic Mr Zitto Kabwe.
He came out to ask the government to release Ongangi after linking his arrest to state operatives.
During his abduction, his phone, laptop and passport were taken by unknown men who were heavily armed.
