The man, who has only been identified as Sitati on his official account, has denied relating with the deceased.

This is after he was spotted among the crowd in Vienna, Austria, cheering on world marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge during the INEOS 1:59 Challenge.

Kenyans on social media shared the photos of the man with some wondering whether the late MP had resurrected.

“With one and only @DonaldBKipkorir @EliudKipchoge @INEOS159 @makaumutua @ahmednasirlaw @vienna Vienna was epic. For the record am not Ken Okoth,” the man at the centre of social media discussion tweeted.

A section of Kenyans online wondered how the man found himself in Vienna and the way he resembled the deceased lawmaker.

Some pointed out that it was coincidental that a man bearing such a striking resemblance to the late MP surfaced just at a time when a Kenyan athlete was making history.

Okoth died after a long battle with cancer.

There are ongoing campaigns in Kibra ahead of a by-election to seek his successor.

The date for the mini-poll has been set by the IEBC for November 7.
