Political analyst Dennis Anyonka has said that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is very unlikely to lament of rigging in the forthcoming Kibra parliamentary mini poll.

The party, which has fronted Imran Okoth for the race, has repeatedly complained of rigging, with its leader Raila Odinga blaming several of his presidential bid losses on the same.

But Anyonka says that with Raila now close to President Uhuru Kenyatta at the top, it will be hard to rig him out if that has indeed been happening.

He also says that following reports that the former Premier has made his way into Uhuru's kitchen cabinet, it will be even harder to manipulate the poll results if there are plans.

"ODM can't be rigged out in Kibra because they are very close to Jubilee. We are now even hearing that Raila is in Uhuru's kitchen cabinet, so how can he be rigged? (ODM hawawezi ibiwa maana sasa wako karibu sana na Jubilee. Hata sasa tunasikia yuko kitchen cabinet ya Uhuru, so ataibiwa vipi?)," he posed.

Anyonka, also a lawyer, made the remarks on Radio Maisha, Monday morning.

The observation comes only weeks after the party questioned the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for allegedly refusing to issue it with its voter register.

ODM claimed that there might be plans to rig Imran out, in the race where Jubilee's McDonald Mariga is also not taking chances in pursuit of the seat.
