Two construction workers were on Tuesday killed after a group of unknown assailants attacked their construction site in Fafi, Garissa County.
North Eastern Regional Commissioner Mohammed Bariq confirmed the incident, adding that the assailants fled after committing the heinous act.
Bariq divulged that investigations have been launched, with an aim of bringing the perpetrators to book.
“We have sent our officers to the ground. They are yet to get full information on the attack and there is a communication problem,” said Bariq as quoted by Nation.
He further noted that security officers in the county are on high alert following recent attacks in the region.
