Oloo was a correspondent for the Star Newspaper in the Central Nyanza region.

His body was found in the house of Ugunja Deputy OCS Inspector Sabina Kerubo on November 21.

The two were reportedly cohabiting as man and wife.

His burial was attended by a host of journalists, with a section of mourners calling on the police to ensure Oloo's killers are speedily brought to book.

Ugunja MP James Opiyo Wandayi and his Ugenya counterpart David Ochieng promised to follow up with the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti in a bid to have Oloo's killers face the full force of the law.

“Eric died a very painful death. As the area MP, I will follow up with the DCI to ensure that justice is served. We demand speedy investigations and prosecution of the culprits who took Eric’s life,” Wandayi said.

The 41-year-old scribe is survived by a widow; Lucy Atieno and children.

Several people including the deputy OCS have since been arrested in connection to the murder of the slain journalist, but only two people have been arraigned in court.

The police inspector is yet to be arraigned.
