According to Ann Mogaka, the owner of the cow, they only noticed the abnormality minutes after the calf was born, forcing her to raise an alarm.

Villagers trickled into her compound to witness one of the most bizarre incidents of the decade, with some associating it with witchcraft.

"I was shocked to notice the abnormality. We only discovered after the calf was born. The cow has been living healthy without showing any complications," she said.

A villagers, Henry Nyabuto, said such incidents are rare, adding that there could have been human external forces. He said that the calf may not last long.

"To my understanding, there is not something ordinary. We have seen some elsewhere and there is always human intervention," he said.

But vetenary officer Mr Nyamwaka Nyamwanda, in an interview with reporters, dismissed the external factors, adding that it was a genetic disorder.

"Genetic disorders are common in animals and this is a typical example. There is nothing like human intervention," he said, adding that farmers should contact experts often.

By the time of going to air, the calf was still healthy and breathing, despite causing confusions in the remote village of Nyamira.
