The two are accompanying a team of top security officers as part of the ongoing probe into the Sh65 billion stalled Arror and Kimwarer dams in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

This follows revelations that Sh450 million paid for the dam, whose tender was awarded to the Italian CMC Di Ravenna firm, passed through Dubai before being withdrawn.

Reports by the DCI and DPP show that the money paid by the treasury made rounds in Dubai, then London before being withdrawn from private accounts in Nairobi.

The team is therefore seeking mutual agreement with the nation's State Law office, in a bid to enhance the probe, months after the firm was declared bankrupt and unable to deliver.

The team is also in the country as a follow up to the recently revealed Sh400 million fake gold deal pitting Kenyan dealers and a Dubai ruler Sheikh Rashid Al Makhtoum.

The deal caused a heated debate in the country especially after names of top politicians were mentioned.
