Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Director of Communications Philip Etale has revealed his worst experience in life.
Etale revealed that the incident occurred 25 years ago, on his first day in high school, after his mother had successfully secured his admission at the Lugari High School.
He noted that he happened to study at a time when 'monolization' (harassment of new secondary school entrants by older students), was still the order of the day.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Etale narrated how a form four student attacked him at lunchtime and took all his food on grounds that he had been served a juicy bone.
"My worst experience in life was on day one of my high school life in 1994 at Lugari High School, now St Pauls Lugari High School. It was a Tuesday and my mother had just finalised my admission into school," he said.
"Tuesday was meat day and every student looked forward to the day. I was served a huge bone and some pieces of meat with ugali. That is the day I knew it was a taboo for a mono to be spotted with a mfupa (bone) on his plate. A form four student slapped me and took all my food," he wrote.
He noted he was subjected to the harassment in the presence of his three classmates.
