The match will be played at the Moi stadium on Sunday, starting 3pm. The entrance fee is Sh500 for VIP and Sh200 regular. Ahead of the encounter, Kisumu All Stars Team Manager (TM) Alfred Adu says they are looking forward to grinding out a positive result against the defending Champions.

He said he hopes they manage a win against K’ogallo. “Hopefully we will beat them. We are psyched up,” he said in an interview in Kisumu on Tuesday.

Reports indicate that Gor Mahia players resumed training only this week, after more than ten days out of the training field due to financial troubles at the Club.

Adu said they will capitalize on Gor Mahia players’ lack of ‘enough’ training as a sure bet towards winning the game. “We are going to capitalize on that,” added the TM.

All Stars head into the match against Gor Mahia on the backdrop of four straight defeats against AFC Leopards, Zoo Kericho, Sofapaka and Bandari FC.

The team is ranked 16th on the KPL log with 8 points, after 13 matches. On the other hand, the Sunday game will be the first one for Gor Mahia this month, having taken a break from league action due to unavailability of a section of players currently on national team duty.

Gor Mahia is fourth on the log with 25 points after ten rounds of matches.
