Solar panels stolen from Inyanzaa primary school borehole in Masinga sub-county have been recovered.
The panels stolen a week ago by unknown people were found a hundred metres from the school borehole on Thursday.
According to Masinga politician Lawrence Maingi, the campaign urging residents to give information on any suspect who could have participated in the theft bore fruits.
He observed that four people have been arrested in connection with the crime.
"The area chief called me in the morning to notify me that the panels have been returned, they were found dumped a hundred metres from the project," said Maingi on phone.
"I'm glad residents adhered to the call and now four people are in custody in connection with the crime, it's a big thanks to chiefs, assistant chief, village administrators, hivisasa and everyone who participated in urging the residents against vandalizing projects," he added.
The politician also expressed the need for residents to embracing projects meant to benefit them.
Maingi who lobbied for the sinking of the borehole by donors from Water is Life Organisation said that the school and residents can now heave a sigh of relieve because the project will be running again.
