Former Mukurweini Member of Parliament Kabando Wa Kabando has faulted Deputy President William Ruto for allegedly undermining President Uhuru Kenyatta. In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Kabando said that Ruto has been speaking a different language from the President.
He said that Ruto’s allies led by Senator Kipchumba Murkomen have been opposing the government, which they are part of.
He noted that the recent remarks of the second in command in reference to Kieni MP Kanini Kega, who claimed that Uhuru had sent him to a function Ruto attended were uncalled for. Kabando said that allies of the DP have proven beyond doubt that they have no interest of Kenyans at heart.
“Senate Majority Leader angrily blasts government he serves topnotch. Calls CSs/PSs “tûkunia”! DP Ruto reiterates obvious FACT “am Uhuru Kenyatta’s Deputy ...we’ve ONE govt”. Twice under a month, MPs sent by President to represent him as a present Dp protests. #Clouds2020, "he tweeted.
He also said that Ruto and his team are partly to blame for the rising political temperatures.
The veteran politician argued that Ruto must lower his tone for the sake of the economic development of this nation. Kabando reminded the DP that the cracks in government will with no doubt cost the ruling party.
“Everything country depends on political stability. Intra-govt implosions mean no collective focus on economy, policy or security. External enemies of our country can exploit. The corrupt also exploit. I still trust the hammer will fall, but not on mosquitoes. #FixingPolitics2020,“he said.
