Vihiga Governor Wilberforce Ottichilo has claimed that scientists are the best leaders.
Speaking during an interview on K24's 'Upclose and Personal' on Wednesday, the governor contended that scientists are the best leaders because their decisions are based on sound analysis and judgement.
According to the governor, scientists don't make moves without deeply engaging their thought process.
"By the way scientists are the best people to be leaders because scientists are very analytical and leadership needs people who are analytical, people who make decisions based on data and information," the governor said.
"Scientists never make any inference, never make any conclusion without analysing data which shows this is the situation, " he added.
Governor Ottichilo is a space scientist. He pursued a space science diploma and doctorate at the Colorado State University.
According to him, his science background has helped inform his leadership approach.
Ottichilo noted that before embarking on any project, he makes sure that it is critically analysed, and a strategic plan drawn before it is embraced.
