Kenyan social media users have showered news anchor Doreen Majala with love and compliments shortly after she announced that she was departing from NTV.
The news anchor appeared to have heartbroken her fans with the Wednesday evening announcement as some expressed their disappointment on social media.
A section of the Kenyans on Twitter under the hashtag #DoreenMajala congratulated her for the period she had worked with the TV station and wished her well in her future endeavours.
They commended her for doing her job well and emerging as one of the best Swahili news anchors in the country.
Majala who was described by many as beauty with brains did not reveal the reason for her departure or where she was headed.
Some of her fans nonetheless promised to continue watching and supporting her.
A group of the netizens while biding Majala goodbye wondered why there had been an increase in the number of journalists who were departing from the Nation Media-owned TV station.
