Mombasa County boss Hassan Joho together with Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed have joined other leaders country wide in sending their condolence message to people of the Sultanate of Oman following the death of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said.
Joho has described the late Sultan Qaboos as a man that established a great connection and heritage which is something that has stood for centuries.
"It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that the people of Mombasa mourn the death of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. Our connection and shared heritage with Omani brethren has stood strong for centuries as recorded in the history books. Inna Lillahi wainna Ileyhi Raji'uun," Joho said.
On the other hand, Mohamed condoled with the people of Oman following their loss saying that Oman people have made close ties with Kenyans in the field of Culture and the Arts
"Sending a special message of condolence to the generous people of the Sultanate of Oman following the death of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. Oman has been a close Kenyan partner in the field of Culture and the Arts with kind and outpouring support from His Majesty," she wrote.
