Lawyer Miguna Miguna has opined that President Uhuru Kenyatta will not back ODM leader Raila Odinga's presidential bid in 2022.
In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Miguna said that the Kikuyu community always stands with one of their own, adding that Raila is wrong to think that he will get their support in the upcoming polls.
He recounted how Jaramogi Odinga and Tom Mboya did not get the support of the Kikuyu community despite backing Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.
“There is nothing @RailaOdinga can do to get Kikuyu support more than Jaramogi and Mboya did for Jomo Kenyatta, or that @RailaOdinga himself did for Kibaki in 2002 and @WilliamsRuto did for Despot Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013 and 2017. Fight for justice and against con-men and despots,” he said.
Miguna also said that President Kenyatta, who is completing his second and final term in power, failed to endorse Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi when he stood a good chance of ascending to power, adding that Raila is in for a rude shock.
“Uhuru Kenyatta betrayed @MusaliaMudavadi who was his running mate in 2002 and @WilliamsRuto who was his chief campaigner in 2002 and his running mate in 2013 and 2017. Why would any fool expect him to make @RailaOdinga president because of the #HandChieth? #UhuruMustGoNow,” he added.
