A short video showing Chinese children being taught Kikuyu has gone viral on social media. It is yet to be established as to where and when exactly the video was recorded but the short clip has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans on social media.
The young children who look jovial in the sort clip are seen repeating a few words from the Kenyan vernacular language. Some of the words which the children were being taught were; grandmother, father, grandfather and great grandmother.
The video seems to have been recorded by their teacher whose face was no shown throughout the entire video. Surprisingly though, is the fluency of the young children in the Kikuyu dialect.
The video has attracted a lot of attention from Kenyans including popular comedian Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill who shared it on his Facebook page with a funny caption.
“You said this is how we are paying the debt. Should we add you the language too?" Churchill captioned the video on Facebook.
