He was once the employee of the firm before he decided to leave. Vivo Energy CEO Christian Chammas has confirmed the new development.  Igathe is now expected to formally take the new position on September 1 following the new revelation.

"I am pleased to announce that Polycarp Igathe will rejoin Vivo Energy as the Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing, a newly created role that is being added to the Vivo Executive Management (VEM),” read a statement from Vivo Energy CEO Christian Chammas.

He was working as a managing director at Equity Bank Kenya before he decided to leave for Vivo Energy.

He used to report to chief executive James Mwangi after he decided to leave the Deputy Governor’s position.  Mwangi had started to take a backseat when it comes to the management of the activities at the financial institution.

The management of the firm had been entrusted in Igathe before he chose to walk away. The bank has now embarked on searching for his replacement as it seeks to remain at the top of the game.
