Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr.Fred Matiangi has hailed Kisii County government for initiating various development projects which are promoting service delivery.
Speaking during commissioning of Nyabonge dispensary in Sensi ward on Saturday, Matiang'i said Governor James Ongwae was committed in serving locals.
Matiangi hailed newly built facilities at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital which were recently commissioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He congratulated county government for face-lifting Gusii stadium and launching of several road networks in the region.
“I always traverse the country in the course of duty and comparatively, I rate Kisii County government as among the best in terms of project delivery,” he said.
The Cabinet secretary thanked Ongwae for relating well with national government officials working in Kisii, adding that the relationship has yielded fruits.
“I normally interact with Ongwae and I can confirm that he has the interests of the Kisii County residents at heart and he always offers proposals that will benefit the people,” Matiangi said.
Ongwae on his part said Nyabonge dispensary has been fully equipped and ready to offer services which will target about 1,000 people.
He said that he had prioritized health sector in 2019/20 financial year, adding that close to Sh12 billion had been allocated by the government.
