Deputy President William Ruto has been warned against his forays in Gusiiland.
Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula while speaking on Friday when he attended a burial function at Itibo in North Mugirango constituency, Nyamira County dismissed DP Ruto numerous trips in Gusii.
According to Wetangula, DP Ruto's trips are counterproductive as he will not get many votes from the region in 2022.
"I am aware that DP Ruto has been making several trips to Gusii region to woo the electorate. But I wish to warn him the trips won't make him get the support in 2022 due to his dubious dealings in government. Let him first clear his name from the corrupt dealings before he can seek support to become president," Wetangula said.
The former Senate Minority leader and Bungoma Senator confirmed that he will be on the ballot in 2022 and he will beat DP Ruto hands down.
"I have what it takes to become the next president of this country. I have supported ODM Party leader for long and 2022 is the time he should throw his weight behind me to take this country to the next level as the president," stated the vocal senator.
