ODM party leader Raila Odinga will hold a rally on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Kamukunji grounds in Kibra constituency.
According to Raila’s Communication Director, Dennis Onyango, he will unveil those who have expressed interest in succeeding the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth.
“The party leader will introduce to the residents those who want to have the ODM ticket. The aspirants will then be given time to articulate their agenda for the constituency,” Onyango said as quoted by Daily Nation.
The Orange party, on Friday, confirmed that all hopefuls will be given an opportunity to address constituents. Kibra residents were encouraged to attend.
"We shall this Sunday at Kamkunji grounds unveil all our aspirants to Kibra voters at a rally where they will be given a chance to address the electorate. We invite Kibera residents to the rally #MbelePamoja," ODM posted on Twitter.
ODM had earlier on urged interested parties to ensure their testimonials and applications were submitted before close of business 5 pm on Friday.
"Today is the deadline for the submission of application forms and testimonials by aspirants for the vacant Kibra Parliamentary seat. The NEB appeals to anyone who picked the form with the intention of vying for the seat on our party to return then before 5pm #MbelePamoja," ODM tweeted early Friday.
