Kenya Ferry Services has announced that their services in Likoni, Mombasa have resumed.
"Ferry operations that were temporarily halted have resumed. Delays may be experienced as salvage operations continue. Kindly be advised and bear with us," KFS noted on Facebook.
Ferry services were halted on Wednesday morning at 9 am to allow for the recovery operations of a woman and her daughter who plunged into the ocean on Sunday evening.
The rescue operations have been going on since Tuesday morning when rescue teams arrived but were temporarily stopped in the evening due to poor visibility.
The operation teams include Kenya Navy, Kenya Ports Authority, Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KEMFRI) and Private Contracted Divers.
KFS also said that they will use robots in the operation.
On Tuesday, the teams said that the wreckage is trapped 60m into the ocean.
"The cause of the accident is still under investigations as search and rescue efforts are underway. Neither the car nor the occupants have been retrieved. We share our sincere sympathies to the affected as the salvage operations continue," KFS noted earlier.
