Gospel singer Kevin Kioko alias Bahati has come out to explain why he took his adopted son, Morgan Bahati to a cheap school.
Speaking on the Trend aired on NTV Friday, Bahati disclosed that Morgan lacks a birth certificate which makes it hard for him to be accepted in an expensive school.
"I took Morgan over seven years ago, he's 10 years now but until now, he is struggling to get papers. I would want him to attend Brookhouse school but wouldn't admit him without a birth certificate," averred Bahati.
He noted that he has been receiving a lot of backlash from different quarters over the issue but wished people would only understand the reason behind his decision.
"Of all my kids, my favourite remains to be Morgan, my adopted son. This is because he reminds me of many things and every time, I push him to be the best he can be," said Bahati.
He observed that most of the time some facts about his life have been misunderstood by the public.
He acknowledged that were it not for the help of the society he would not be where he is now.
"That's why I started EMB records, I have never made money from any new artistes I have supported. It's in me to keep on helping," he said.
