Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege has asked the Deputy President William Ruto to caution his allies against insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Addressing Murang’a County residents at Kenol on Friday, Chege said that it is unfortunate that some of the leaders in Ruto’s camp have mastered the art of dirty language at the expense of development. She argued that the allies of the DP have been using his platforms to disrespect the head of state when Ruto is quietly watching.
“I have always respected the deputy president and you know you are my friend. However, I urge you to take a step and tame several MPs allied to you. You have many allies who only open their mouths to utter words aimed at insulting the president. I respectfully plead with you, please talk to your allies.
Mimi nakuomba kwa heshima, zungumzia wafuasi wako),” she said in a video shared by Kenyans.co.ke on Twitter.
The allies of Ruto have been on the forefront in criticising the Jubilee regime. They have been mounting pressure on President Kenyatta to publicly endorse Ruto as the Jubilee Party presidential candidate.
