The Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua has explained why the government is not ready to tolerate films that promote moral decay.
In an interview with Citizen TV on Friday, Mutua said that they will not tolerate the shooting of homosexual films in the country because they destroy the family structure.
He noted that the family remains the basic structure of the family, adding that the change in morals makes the family weaker. He further reiterated that he will not sit back and watch people destroy morals.
“We ban homosexual films because we believe that family is critical for the nation’s growth Family is a union between a man and a woman and not a woman with another woman; if you so want to do such films…do it outside our domain!” he said.
The remarks come after the moral cop announced the ban of the playing of some songs outside bars and entertainment joints. Mutua banned Tetema by Diamond Platnumz and Rayvanny as well as Wamlambez by Sailors.
Mutua, however, said that the songs have not been completely banned but only restricted to some areas in a bid to protect the society from any form of moral degradation that is likely to occur because of these songs.
