Simba SC has announced that Gor Mahia's midfielder Francis Kahata is set to them on a two-year contract.
The Tanzanian club made the announcement on its social media platforms on Thursday, describing Kahata as a gifted player with tremendous ability.
"He is a great player who plays as a midfielder, he is now part of the AFCON squad of Kenya, Francis Kahata (27) will put on the jersey of the national champions after signing a two-year contract. (Ni mchezaji mwenye uwezo mkubwa wa kucheza eneo la kiungo, kwasasa akiwa sehemu ya wachezaji wanaounda kikosi cha timu ya Taifa ya Kenya kinachoshiriki Afcon, Francis Kahata (27) msimu ujao atavaa jezi ya Mabingwa wa nchi baada ya kusaini mkataba wa miaka miwili, " Simba SC's Facebook post read.
Kahata has had a long career, playing with Thika United before joining reigning Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia.
He has also been a constant figure in the Kenyan national team, the Harambee Stars, that has been bundled out of the African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Simba SC did not share the finer details of the contract that Kahata had signed such as the amount he will be earning as a player.
