Reports from The Standard indicate that the assailant had earlier left a drinking spree in the company of his wife and another man.

The suspect, however, attacked both his wife and the other man on their way from the drinking spree.

It is alleged that he suspected his wife was having an affair with the man

The male victim was left unconscious while the wife passed away.

He allegedly carried the body of his wife and went to bury it in an effort to cover up the crime.

Area chief Edward Kakomoi confirmed the incident.

“We found out the woman left a drinking den with her husband and the assaulted man. On their way home, the 22-year-old man went berserk and attacked the two, killing the wife and leaving the man unconscious. He carried the body of his wife home,” Kakomoi stated according to Standard.

The matter was reported to the police on Sunday morning after the male victim who was recognized as Kapkomer Dakany was found unconscious following the previous night's attack.

According to the Area Chief, the couple is reported to have had domestic problems.

“She had just returned to check on her husband during Christmas season and was killed,” he noted.

West Pokot County Police Commander Jackson Tumwet confirmed that investigations into the case had been launched and police officers were searching for the suspect.
