Lugari MP Ayub Savula has denied claims that he was aware of the plot to assassinate Deputy President William Ruto.
Speaking to journalists in Kakamega, the lawmaker said faulted leaders dragging his name into the plan to eliminate the second in command, terming it political witch-hunt.
He noted that he was not aware of the said plan until he had the same from the media.
He affirmed that he is among those allies of the DP demanding to know the details of the meeting at La Mada hotel.
The lawmaker insisted that he has never discussed the matter with anyone, and allegations against that he is pushing for the faster probe into the issue are baseless.
“I have at no single incident discussed with the Deputy President on matters of the alleged assassination and the audio-video recording, let Ruto deal with DCI and tell the investigators the truth of the matter,” argued Savula, Standard.
The remarks comes after it emerged that the lawmaker was among those being sought shed more light on what he knows about the alleged plan to end the life of the Deputy President.
