It has emerged that Mr Odinga is expected to kick out members of the Secretariat next year after grassroot polls which are anticipated in February.

And Nyamira Assembly Majority Leader Duke Masira now says the changes are necessary, adding that the party should reorganize itself for revamping.

"ODM remains the biggest party in the country. We have our own challenges but we shall overcome. We usually face them and at times we commit mistakes," he said.

"If the leadership has agreed to change Secretariat then that is welcome. We learn from our mistakes and we are ready to push forward," he added.

Similar sentiments have been echoed by Bogichora MCA George Abuga, who on Monday said that the party nominations have been having challenges.

"Having challenges in nominations is one of the biggest issue. Restructuring of the team is necessary and I support it," he added.

This comes amidst claims that Mr Odinga scolded a number of officials last week, accusing them of doctoring party register in Kibra polls.

In Nyamira, ODM has five MCAs but unfortunately, it does not have elected MP. However, Governor John Nyagarama and Senator Okong'o Mogeni are ODM members.
