The two arch-rivals and their camps have been firing shots at each other lately, in what is expected to to worsen as the nation gets nearer to the 2022 general elections.

Andati now says that Raila is the source of the conflict and has been the one provoking the DP into reaction, by among others, questioning Ruto's integrity and source of his money.

He says that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader is out to settle scores by ensuring that the DP does not realize his 2022 presidential bid, for doing the same to him (Raila) in his 2013 and 2017 polls.

Speaking on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha on Monday, Andati observed that Raila is out to revenge his loss to President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was enjoying Ruto's support.

"Raila anaona Ruto alimharibia kuwa rais. Bado yuko na machungu, anataka kumharibia pia (Raila is of the opinion that Ruto prevented him from being president. He is bitter and wants to spoil it for him (Ruto) too,") he said.

The commentator also noted that Raila willmksot likely win the battle as he enjoys more freedom as opposed to the DP who cannot engage in direct politicking.

He said that unlike Ruto who is under strict directives to avoid engagement in premature politicking, Raila is not only untamed, but also has all the time he needs.

He observed that the Orange party leader is a carreer politician who should not be expected to be doing anything else, adding that his continental job cannot as well tame him.

"Wote wanafanya siasa. Raila hana watoto wadogo wenye anasomesha, bill yake inalipwa na serikali, magari yake pia ni ya serikali, kazi yake sasa ni siasa."

This loosely translates to; "They are both politicking. Raila doesn't have small children he is educating, all his bills are paid by the state and his vehicles provided by the government. His only job now is politics."
