Chama Cha Mashinani leader Isaac Ruto has revealed that the Deputy President William Ruto is yet to approach him in regard to his 2022 presidential bid.
In an interview with Citizen TV, Ruto the DP will have to meet certain conditions before they can endorse his candidature as CCM.
He divulged that there are several things they need to know from the DP before they can determine whether to stand with him or not.
He also said that he will share more about his plan to stage a political comeback after President Uhuru Kenyatta ends his second and final term in power.
“2022 is still 3 years away. We are yet to meet with the DP. We have questions to ask on the grounds on which to support him. CCM has to be approached as a political party by all presidential candidates, not just the DP,” he said.
Ruto also said that he is not impressed with the manner in which the current government is running its affairs. He noted that there is more that needs to be done to transform the lives of the residents of this nation.
He promised to work with other leaders to ensure Kenyans benefit from the fruits of devolution.
