The Kenyan boss lady Akothee became emotional after bagging the Best Live Performance Award at the Sanaa Theatre Awards despite her absence.
Akothee has not had a smooth ride this last two months all attributed to some health complications caused by fatigue.
In a long post on Instagram, the music star said that she is very thankful though she did not see it coming. She confessed that the journey had been tough with some band members requesting more money than initially agreed. This led to even his cancellation of a live band that was scheduled to perform at a Kisumu Show.
"When the love is real, no amount of love will I ever or has ever received than that from my fans, I am crying because of what I have gone through to pull a live performance , for the whole year, from live band members giving me shit last minute and demanding for more payments, some wanting to fly while the cost of a one way ticket last minute at that moment is the price of their performance fee for 1 hour," reads part of her post.
The Baby Daddy hit maker finished by thanking her alter ego, Jalang'o whom she said that she always support her wherever the circumstances.
"So even if I am paid sh1m I have expenses and maybe I end up home with 200,000k ask @jalangoo and for that I don't just jump on any show if it's not making logistics sense, baby you can attest, @jalangoo ananielewa. Najuwa @sanaatheatreawards thank you soo much," she added.
She finished by dedicating the award to all her fans who voted for her and loyal band members.
